Responsibility & Sustainability

Save the nature!

At Canyamel Golf in Mallorca, sustainability and nature conservation go hand in hand with the sport of golf. Our golf course is designed as a habitat for animals and plants while offering golfers a unique playing experience in harmony with the environment.

We protect native trees such as holm oaks and fig trees, and large non-playable areas serve as natural refuges for flora and fauna.

Dogs are not allowed on the golf course to ensure that small animals and birds can live undisturbed.

Special attention is given to the protection of tortoises, as well as the care of ponds with fish, ducks, and freshwater turtles.

Carp help to maintain good water quality naturally.

Our water management follows strict sustainability principles: irrigation uses only recycled water from the local wastewater treatment plant. In the hot Mallorcan summer months, only the most important playing areas are irrigated to save resources.

The operation of the golf course also reflects our eco-conscious philosophy.

In the clubhouse, we avoid air conditioning to reduce energy consumption. Benches and waste bins are made from recycled materials.

We are supporting local producers and vendors.

We also encourage golfers to contribute: players are invited to reuse towels and save water when showering.

By combining golf, sustainability, and environmental awareness, Canyamel Golf has become one of the leading eco-friendly golf courses in Mallorca – a place where nature and sport coexist in perfect balance.
